About Agent HUD

Agent HUD is a status monitor for AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex and 16 others. It displays quotas, token usage and active sessions in a compact heads-up display positioned at the edge of your screen, with color-coded status indicators. You can approve or deny tool calls, answer agent questions, and jump back to any session with one click. The Mac app syncs with iPhone and Apple Watch through iCloud, letting you monitor progress and make decisions away from your computer. It includes a built-in MCP server allowing agents to communicate with each other and customize the HUD layout.

FAQ
- Which agents does it support?
- Agent HUD supports Claude Code, Codex and 16 more coding agents. The specific features and quota support differ for each agent.
- How much data leaves my computer?
- The Mac app reads quotas and balances from each vendor using your agent's existing sign-in and sends no data to Agent HUD's servers. A self-built version uploads nothing. With the official release, only what reaches your iPhone and Apple Watch is described in the privacy policy, which uses end-to-end encryption through your iCloud.
- How are token costs calculated?
- Token costs are estimated at each vendor's list price, either from their China or international price list, and are marked with ≈ to indicate they are estimates, not actual charges.
- Do I need Agent HUD Remote to use the Mac app?
- No. The Mac app is free and works fully on its own. Agent HUD Remote is a paid subscription that adds iPhone and Apple Watch access over any network through iCloud. Without it, iPhone and Apple Watch can only connect when on the same local network as the Mac.
- What do I need?
- A Mac on macOS 14 or later, with Apple silicon or Intel. The download opens the GitHub releases page: take the arm64 DMG for Apple silicon, the x86_64 one for Intel. iPhone and Apple Watch pair with that Mac. The same page has preview packages for Windows 10 and 11 (x64) and for x86_64 Linux: unsigned, not yet tested on real machines, and they do not update themselves. With Windows, iPhone and Apple Watch connect on the same local network only, and Linux cannot connect yet: Agent HUD Remote is for Mac only, for now.
