MotifDeck is an AI game art workspace designed for indie 2D game creators. Users start by creating or uploading a character reference, then use the AI to generate continuous motion video from which they extract and select individual frames. The platform supports six art styles: Pixel Art, Cartoon, Anime, Hand-painted, Flat 2D, and 3D Look. After generating motion, creators choose 8 to 64 usable frames from the full source video, adjust timing and positioning, then export as PNG frames, sprite sheets, or GIFs. Additional tools let users create props, build matching scenes, recolor animations, and edit sprite sheets. Every generation shows its exact credit cost before approval.

- MotifDeck is an AI game art workspace for indie 2D creators. You create and refine a character from a brief or reference, approve a source, then continue into character motion and selected animation frames. Pixel Art is one supported style alongside general 2D artwork. Existing-art tools cover sprite-sheet editing, recoloring, GIF conversion and procedural breathing from a transparent PNG. You review task availability, the quote and the actual output in your workspace before accepting a result.
- How does the sprite animator work?
- MotifDeck starts from an approved character, generates a motion video, then extracts and cleans up frames. You choose frames and timing after generation rather than committing to an 8- or 16-frame result beforehand.
- How many frames can I export?
- You can select and review usable frames after generation: up to 16 on Free, Starter and Creator plans, or up to 64 on active Pro and Studio plans. The source must contain enough usable frames. Downloading newly generated production files requires an eligible paid unlock for that exact version.
- Can I use my own art style?
- Yes. You can bring a reference in the workspace or start with Pixel Art, Cartoon, Anime, Hand-painted, Flat 2D or 3D Look. Note that 3D Look creates rendered 2D artwork, not a 3D model.
- Does typing a brief start paid generation?
- No. Typing a brief does not start generation. You check the displayed Credits and your inputs, then choose Generate to start. If needed, sign in first; your draft is kept.
