Do I need Unreal Engine installed?

No. BlueprintReview reads the files itself and does not need the editor, the project or an engine install.

Why won't my packaged game's assets open?

Cooking strips the editor data and graphs, leaving nothing to draw. You should open the assets from your project's Content folder instead.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Nothing in the app needs a network connection, and Git and Perforce run as they normally do on your machine.

Will Pro need a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time purchase with free updates for all of version 1.x. Version 2.0 may be a paid upgrade.

Is it made by Epic Games?

BlueprintReview is a viewer for Unreal Engine Blueprint files that reads .uasset files directly without needing the editor, project or engine installed. It displays Blueprints the way the editor does, including Event graphs, functions, macros, collapsed graphs, My Blueprint, Components, Details, Class Defaults and Class Settings. The tool can compare two versions from Git, P4V or a folder, showing what changed with added, removed and modified nodes marked in the editor's diff colours. Changes are matched by node and pin IDs rather than position, so moved nodes and re-routed wires are kept separate from meaningful changes. BlueprintReview integrates with existing workflows as a git difftool and textconv driver, and works with P4V's diff settings. It can search entire Blueprint projects and follow function calls. The app performs fast operations on large projects and keeps all files local without uploading anything.
