- Yes. A card is needed to start your first sandbox, and it is not charged then. The first 7 days are free, with up to $20 of usage. Cancel within the week and you pay nothing.
- How does the plan fee turn into credit?
- One for one. A $100 Growth plan gives you $100 of usage each month. Every plan pays the same rates, and plans differ by how many machines can be awake at once.
- What is fixed and what is usage on my invoice?
- The plan fee is the fixed line. Everything else is usage: each machine's awake time, billed per second at its hourly rate, and the disk of sleeping machines per GB-month.
- What happens when I hit a limit?
- At your plan's limit of machines awake at once, starting or waking another machine is refused until one sleeps or you upgrade. A swarm runs at most that many sandboxes at a time and starts the rest as others finish. Nothing is deleted.
- Am I charged while a machine is asleep?
- An agent box costs the same $1 a month per 2 GB awake or asleep. A sleeping desktop or phone has no compute charge; you pay per GB-month for its disk.
