Encrust is a free, open-source slicer for resin printers that handles the entire workflow in a single application. It imports models in STL, OBJ and 3MF formats, repairs geometry issues, orients parts on the build plate, hollows models with customizable infill, generates automatic supports sized by load, and slices with adaptive layer heights and anti-aliasing. The distinctive feature is layer-by-layer checking that detects islands, suction cups and thin walls before printing. It supports 102 printer profiles from 14 manufacturers and can export to over 20 file formats. - Yes, completely. Encrust is open source under the AGPL-3.0 licence with no paid tier, no account and no licence key. Anyone distributing a modified version or running it as a service must publish the source code.
- Does Encrust upload my models to the cloud?
- No. Encrust has no account, no cloud and no telemetry. Your models, profiles and projects are files on your own disk. It only goes online when you press Send to your printer, to find printers on your local network, or to check GitHub for updates (which can be disabled).
