What is a playtest?

A playtest is a customizable testing campaign that helps you recruit players, distribute game builds, collect feedback, and learn from gameplay. You can screen participants, share access keys, record gameplay, and send surveys before, during, or after each session.

Do I need to record gameplay to run a playtest?

No. Gameplay recording is optional. You can use Userplay for build distribution, player recruitment, and surveys without recording gameplay.

How do recorded gameplay sessions work?

Recorded gameplay sessions are pay as you go on every plan. You buy exactly the number of sessions you need, whenever you need them. Your plan sets the per-recording price and the maximum recording length.

Do subscriptions include recorded gameplay sessions?

Your first subscription includes 20 recorded gameplay sessions to get you started, valid for 12 months. Beyond that, subscriptions cover platform access, team seats, recording length, retention, and features. Recorded gameplay sessions are purchased separately.

Can I try Userplay before committing to a subscription?

Yes. Start on the Indie plan by buying a handful of recorded gameplay sessions with no subscription, run a real playtest, and subscribe later if you need more seats, longer recordings, or extra features.
