How do I show my company's revenue?

Self-reported revenue on Best Digital Launch: what you enter, what visitors see, and the separate tables on the leaderboard.

Updated

What it is

You can publish your company's revenue for a single calendar month, in US dollars. Whether to add one is entirely up to you. Anyone who owns or manages the company's listing can report the figure. The figure is never presented as checked: the label reads self-reported.

Where to add it

Go to /account/revenue after signing in. Fill in the amount for the month (for example 12500 or 12500.50), choose the month and save.

How it is shown

The figure always appears with three things: self-reported, the month, and the reporting date. A company has a single figure, shown on all its listings. Your listing and the revenue leaderboard both show the figure.

What we accept

The month must not be in the future and must fall within the last two years. We keep the proof link for our staff, away from your public listing. Type the amount in US dollars; cents are optional. For proof, give a public https:// page that backs the figure.

On the leaderboard

The board at /leaderboards/revenue never puts a self-reported number in the same ranking as a verified one. Verified revenue, from a connected account or an approved statement, keeps its own table. Revenue never counts as votes and has nothing to do with the paid billboard.

Changing or removing it

You can change the figure or remove it at any time from /account/revenue. Past figures remain in the listing's history.

Showing verified revenue

A verified figure is one we read from your payment provider or check against your statement. The owner or a manager of the listing sets it up at /account/revenue/verified. There are three routes. Stripe: paste a restricted key that can only read. Paddle: paste an API key with read access only. Anything else (PayPal, Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad or another provider): upload the statement for a month that has ended, and our team checks it.

A key is verified straight away when the account matches your listing (the Stripe display name or statement text names your company or website; for Paddle, the approved checkout domain is your website). If it does not match, our team checks it first and you are told the result.

The result is one verified figure per company for the last finished month: the sum of its verified sources, each named with its share, and the date of the last check. It stands in for the self-reported figure on the listing and is ranked in the verified table at /leaderboards/revenue. We show US dollars only, so revenue in another currency is converted at the official ECB average for that month; the listing names the original currency next to the figure.

We refuse a Stripe key that could make changes or read your customers, store keys encrypted, and only ever show the last four characters. The figures are re-read about once a day. Disconnect from /account/revenue/verified whenever you want; the figure comes down with it.

Questions people ask

Is it audited?
No. That is what the self-reported label tells visitors.
How do I take the number down?
Use Remove on the company's card at /account/revenue.
Which months can I report?
The current month or a finished month from the last two years.
What if I use PayPal or Lemon Squeezy?
Upload that month's statement at /account/revenue/verified (PDF, CSV export or screenshot, up to 10 MB). A member of our team checks it before it is shown as verified.
