What the billboard ranks
The billboard is a leaderboard at /leaderboards/billboard. It shows listings ranked by money contributed—not votes. The page is clearly labelled as paid ranking, so visitors know what they're seeing.
How to contribute
You choose the amount in US dollars. The minimum is $5. Each contribution you make adds to your total. The board orders listings by total contributed, and everyone who's contributed stays visible.
Ship to the billboard
For a listing you already have, it must be live first.
- Sign in and go to /account/listings
- Select "Upgrades and extras" next to your listing
- Enter your contribution under Billboard
You can also contribute when you submit your listing on the plan step.
Why it's separate
The billboard is its own thing. It doesn't buy community votes, change Launch of the Week, or affect verification or Domain Rating rankings. Each system is labelled so visitors see what's what. Promo codes don't reduce billboard contributions.
A followed link to your website, for life
Every company on the billboard is linked from /leaderboards/billboard to its own website, with the company name as the link text. The link is followed (no nofollow). It stays for life, also when newer contributors move ahead of you. It is removed only if the listing is taken down for breaking our rules, or if the contribution is refunded.
