About ZeroBG

ZeroBG is an AI photo editing platform that automatically detects and removes backgrounds from images using advanced AI technology. The service provides a suite of tools including background removal, object and text erasing, shadow and glare removal, photo restoration, upscaling up to 4x, and creative features like hairstyle try-on, photo-to-cartoon conversion, and colorization.

The platform operates on a pay-per-photo model with no subscription required. Users can preview every photo free at 512px resolution with a watermark. Full-resolution, watermark-free downloads cost one credit each. New accounts receive one free HD credit, and additional credits can be purchased individually ($1.99 per photo) or in packs ($4.99 for 20 credits or $9.00 for 100 credits) that never expire. Optional monthly subscription plans are available for heavier usage.

The service handles complex editing tasks like removing fine hair and glass details, erasing people and objects from photos, and batch processing. Images are automatically deleted after 24 hours for users without accounts, or according to the plan's history period for registered users. The platform offers API access compatible with remove.bg and processes images up to 25MB.

FAQ

How does ZeroBG work?

ZeroBG uses advanced AI technology (BiRefNet) to automatically detect and remove backgrounds from images. You upload your image and the AI processes it in seconds, delivering a professional-quality result with a transparent background.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can try ZeroBG without signing up and download a free preview at 512px resolution with a watermark. One full-resolution photo costs $1.99 with no account, or you can create a free account to receive 1 HD credit.

How do credits work?

Processing an image and downloading the watermarked preview is free with a daily limit. A credit is spent only when you unlock the full-resolution, watermark-free HD download of an image—one credit per image. Unlocking the same image again never costs extra. New accounts get 1 credit. One photo is $1.99 with no account. Buy one-time packs (20 HD credits for $4.99 or 100 for $9) or subscribe for monthly credits.

Do unused credits roll over?

Subscription credits reset to your plan's monthly amount each month and do not roll over. Sign-up credits and one-time pack credits never expire and stay in your balance even if you subscribe, cancel, or switch plans.

Are my images stored securely and used for training?

Your images are stored only for preview and download purposes. Without an account, images are automatically deleted after 24 hours. With an account, they are kept according to your plan's history period then automatically deleted. ZeroBG never uses uploaded images to train AI models.
