What is the Size It Up game?

Size It Up is a free daily size comparison game where you test your sense of scale. Each round draws a familiar teal object at its real size, and you resize an orange shape until it matches it, then confirm to see the true size and where the information comes from.

How is each round scored?

A round scores up to 100 points. Scoring is based on the ratio between your guess and the true size, so guessing double or half is equally far off. Within 6% scores 100 points, twice or half the size scores about 33, and guessing five times off scores nothing.

Where do the real sizes come from?

Every size is sourced to primary references and linked on the site. Everyday objects use ISO standards and official specifications, space topics use NASA fact sheets and JPL data, extinct animals use museum specimens and peer-reviewed studies, food uses grading rules and manufacturer specs, and tiny creatures use health agencies and university research.

Can I play more than five rounds a day?

Yes. Free play offers unlimited rounds from each game's complete collection. You can also replay any past puzzle from the archive. Free play and archive replays don't count toward daily streaks, leaderboards or Insight points.

Is SizeItUp free?

Yes, SizeItUp is completely free. There is nothing to buy with money, and cosmetic purchases like titles and board themes do not affect your score or gameplay.
