About Pass and Play Games

Pass and Play Games is a free website of classic board games, party games, strategy games and word games designed for multiple players sharing a single device. Players take turns on the same phone, tablet or computer, with an optional pass screen between turns so the next player knows it is their move. The site works offline after the first visit, saves games automatically after every move, and can be installed as an app on home screens. No sign-up or account is required.

FAQ

What does pass and play mean?

Pass and play means everyone shares one device. You make your move, then hand the phone, tablet or laptop to the next player. There is an optional screen between turns that shows whose turn it is, so nobody moves by mistake.

Are the games really free?

Yes. Every game on Pass and Play Games is free to play in your browser. There is no sign-up and nothing to download, although you can install the site as an app if you like.

Do the games work offline?

Yes. After your first visit the site saves itself on your device, so the games, rules guides and tutorials keep working with no Wi-Fi or mobile data, for example on a plane or a long car ride.

Can I play against the computer?

Yes. Most games have a computer opponent that you can play against at different difficulty levels. Computer players can also fill empty seats in certain games like Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, and Dominoes.

What happens if I close the page in the middle of a game?

Your current game is saved automatically on your device after every move. Open the same game again and it continues exactly where you stopped, including whose turn it is.
