About Origin Wars
Origin Wars is a free-to-play competitive card battler for iOS and Android. Players describe a character's identity, powers, and backstory through a guided wizard called the Forge. AI renders the character's portrait and derives a unique 28-card battle deck from the fiction, ensuring no two decks are identical.
Battles are fast, fair, and server-authoritative: every match runs on the server with deterministic outcomes verified from a seed, preventing client-side cheating. Players engage in ranked 1v1 duels, 2-8 player party battles, faction wars with live voice chat, and admin-run tournaments. Combat features 10 HP, a 5-card opening hand, shields, statuses, and reactive dodge-and-negate windows.
Characters have careers tracked per-fighter with elo ratings, win streaks, and championship cup badges. The game has no card shop or purchases that affect power; all progression is earned through ranked play. Shards are the only currency, used for cosmetic changes like portrait re-renders or deck re-rolls, not for competitive advantage.
