About Merlin

Merlin is a platform that brings AI agents into your team's existing collaboration tools. It integrates Claude Code and Codex directly into Slack, Linear, and GitHub, allowing teams to hand work to AI agents without leaving their current workflows.

The system runs entirely on your team's own computers using your existing Claude Code or Codex subscriptions, with no separate API keys or model billing required. All work happens transparently in threads and conversations where your team already operates, making it multiplayer by default.

Merlin offers features for team coordination including shared skills, recurring schedules, shared memory across the company and channels, and access controls. It can work proactively to surface important context or only respond when mentioned, adapting to your team's needs.

FAQ

Can we use our own Claude Code or Codex subscription?

Yes. Merlin uses the Claude Code or Codex you already have on your computer, signed in with your own account. There is no API key to set up and no second bill for the model. Claude Code or Codex must be installed and signed in on the computer before adding it to Merlin. The Claude desktop app is not supported yet.

Do all plans include the same features?

Almost. Free includes 1,000 requests and schedule runs per month, while Team and Scale are unlimited. Every other Merlin feature is on all three plans, with more features for paid plans on the way. Plans differ based on the number of active users: up to 5 on Free, 50 on Team, or 200 on Scale.

What counts as an active user?

All registered workspace members count, plus unregistered people who use Merlin through Slack, Linear, or GitHub during the current billing period. Bots do not count. Paid plans follow their subscription billing period; Free plans use monthly cycles starting on the workspace's creation date.

What counts as a request?

Every task Merlin runs for your workspace counts as a request: a mention or DM in Slack, a Linear or GitHub request, a thread follow-up Merlin picks up on its own, and each scheduled run. Billing and the Overview show the count for the current month.

Is model usage included in the price?

No. Model usage stays on your own Claude Code and Codex accounts. Merlin uses the logins already on your machines and does not add per-token or per-message fees. Your provider's plan and usage limits still apply.
