The Jua homepage

Jua builds EPT-2, an AI weather model that delivers more accurate global weather forecasts than established alternatives. The model is verified against over 10,000 ground stations and beats ECMWF HRES on wind, temperature and solar radiation across all forecast ranges. Athena is an AI agent that reads EPT-2 forecasts, market models, prices and positions to provide alerts and trading recommendations for energy markets.

EPT-2 comes in multiple variants including deterministic, ensemble, rapid-refresh and high-resolution models, refreshed up to 24 times daily with power forecasts in megawatts for wind and solar assets. The company serves energy traders, utilities, renewables operators and hedge funds across five continents.

Jua's research is peer-reviewed at leading AI conferences including NeurIPS and ICLR. The team is based in Zürich and was founded in 2023.
