Hazelchat is a platform for building and deploying customer-facing AI agents on your website. The agent answers visitor questions using only content you provide, including web pages, PDFs, and Q&A documents, and displays the sources for every answer. When the agent lacks information, it says so and offers a contact option instead of guessing.

You can build your agent by importing your pages and documents, test it privately, then deploy it with a single script. The platform provides tools to optimize the agent by reviewing unanswered questions and adding approved answers.

Hazelchat works with popular website builders and CMS platforms including WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, and Squarespace, as well as integration platforms like Zapier, n8n, and HubSpot. Pricing is based on the number of evidence-backed answers per month, with a free plan offering 50 answers monthly.

What is included in the Free plan?

The Free plan includes 50 visitor answers backed by attached evidence each month, one verified website, the current recommended AI model, and saved enquiries. It requires no credit card. Paid plans use a separate seven-day trial and require a payment method.

How does the seven-day trial work?

You pick Starter or Business, verify your email, set a password and add a payment method. Nothing is charged for seven days and you receive an email a day before the first charge. You can cancel in the billing portal before then and your workspace continues on Free with your content intact. One trial is allowed per workspace.

What happens when Hazelchat does not know the answer?

It says it does not have enough information and offers a contact link or enquiry form. You can review the unanswered question, add approved information, and test again before publishing.

What sources can I use?

You can use public website text, searchable PDFs, Word documents, text files and approved Q&A. Scanned files need OCR elsewhere, and pages that require JavaScript rendering are not yet supported.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes, you can change plans from Settings in your workspace. Upgrades apply immediately with proration for the current period, while downgrades take effect at your next renewal. To cancel, go to the billing portal any time. The paid plan runs until the end of the period already paid for, then the workspace moves to Free without deleting content.
