FAQ

How does the daily puzzle system work?

A new silhouette unlocks at midnight in your time zone, selected from the shape library based on the date. Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day, and you don't need an account to play. You get one attempt per puzzle, and the clock starts when you open the page.

How is the leaderboard ranked?

Solves are ranked first by number of hints used (fewest first), then by time (fastest wins), and when times match, by fewest moves. A solve with no hints always beats a solve with one hint, even if slower.

What happens to my progress if I don't have an account?

Your archive and streak are saved in your browser. Clearing your site data will lose them, but making an account keeps your progress safe and syncs it across all your devices.

Can I pause or resume a puzzle?

Yes, you can pause to hide the puzzle, and if you close the tab you'll pick up where you left off.

What can I do if I want to solve tangrams offline?

You can print a tangram set to cut out, with shapes to solve on paper and an answer key.
