About Context Engine

The Context Engine homepage

Context Engine is a hosted memory service for AI agents and teams. Your AI tools—Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code—save to it as they work and read from it when they start. Team members use the same memory in the app to browse all saved information, ask questions with source attribution, read daily and weekly summaries, and add files. The service organises memories by purpose (called "engines"), keeps them private per engine, writes summaries automatically, and links related items without creating duplicates.

You connect your AI tools once with a few clicks or a command, and they remember context from then on. Each engine can be for yourself, a client, a project or a team, with fine-grained access controls. Context Engine stores data separately per engine, never uses your content for training, and lets you export everything as Markdown and JSON at any time.

FAQ

Is it a chatbot?
No, Context Engine does not run your agents. Your AI tools do the thinking. Context Engine is the memory they share: they save to it as they work and read from it when they start. You can also ask it questions yourself, and every answer names the memories it came from.
Which AI tools work with it?
ChatGPT, Claude on the web and desktop, Claude Code and Cursor sign in with a few clicks. Anything else that speaks MCP or HTTP connects with a key, so agents and scripts you build yourself can use the same memory.
What is an engine?
An engine is a memory with a purpose: a few sentences describing what it is for and what belongs in it. Your AI tools read that purpose to decide what to save where. You can keep one for yourself, one per client or project, or one for a team.
Can I keep clients apart?
Yes. Each engine is stored on its own, and each connection reaches only the engines you choose, at either read-only or read-and-save access. Give each client its own engine and connection, and nothing crosses between them.
Is my data used for training?
No. Your content is sent to models only to answer you. It is not used to train anything, not sold and not used for advertising.
