- CocoCroco is an AI chat interface for your own provider API keys where you can chat with different models, branch conversations with context, and organize chats, notes, and code on a canvas. Use it free in your browser, or get Pro for browser upgrades and the Windows/Linux desktop app.
- Do I need my own AI provider keys?
- Yes. CocoCroco is BYOK: you need to connect your own API key from a supported provider and pay that provider for usage. The app price does not include AI credits in either Free or Pro.
- Where is my data stored and what leaves my device?
- Saved boards, chats, keys, and settings stay locally in your browser or desktop app. CocoCroco does not receive or proxy your chat content; messages, relevant context, and attachments go directly to your chosen provider under its terms. There is no automatic cloud sync.
- Is Pro a subscription?
- No subscription. Pro is a $97 one-time purchase for lifetime access and future updates. Your license works on every machine you personally own; move your board data with explicit export and import instead of automatic cloud sync.
