Aether runs autonomous coding agents in isolated cloud devboxes you can watch, steer, SSH into, and verify. You bring the agent you already pay for; Aether provides the machine, oversight, and review loop that makes the work trustworthy. Hand Claude Code or Codex a task and it runs on a real cloud machine you can watch in real time. Your Claude or ChatGPT subscription covers the model, with no second AI bill. The devbox is open the whole time, every command streams as it lands, and your own terminal attaches to the same machine the agent works in.

- How are API keys kept secure?
- API keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM under a key derived per user and injected into your isolated VM only for the duration of a session. You can revoke them at any time.
- Is my code safe in Aether?
- Each task runs in its own Firecracker microVM that is never reused for another task or user. The devbox is destroyed when your pull request merges or closes, or after 48 hours of inactivity. The devbox remains open throughout so you can watch every command.
- Does Aether train on my code?
- No. Because the agent runs on your own provider account, what your model provider does with your code is governed by your account settings; Aether is not involved in that process.
- Which agents and models can I use?
- Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode, each running on your own provider account. Across the three you can reach 40+ models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, and more, and you can set the model and reasoning effort per task.
- How do credits work?
- Credits meter active runtime only, per second. One credit equals twelve minutes on the default Small devbox. Medium runs at 2× credits and Large at 4×. Idle and suspended devboxes bill nothing, and warm slots never consume credits.
