Free listing or paid launch: which is right for you?

Compare free and paid options on Best Digital Launch to pick the path that fits your timeline and goals.

Updated

Ship on your own terms. You can launch free, paid, or upgrade later—it's your call.

Free listing: build your profile

Your product goes live in the free queue about 1-2 weeks out. You get a basic profile, but paid sections stay locked: founder story, milestones and demo video won't show yet. Both your screenshots and your comparisons remain visible on a free listing. We'll give you a nofollow link to your website, and thin free pages don't get indexed by search engines.

One thing: our badge must be live on your website before we publish it. Both are needed for a free listing: the badge on your website and a complete founder profile.

Paid launch: go live now

Pay $5 and launch whenever you want—this week or the week you choose. No badge required. Your full profile unlocks immediately, you get a dofollow link that search engines index, and the community sees everything: your story, milestones and demo video.

Want to move faster? Add-ons let you go featured ($19), add extra categories, or the multi-site bundle. For a free listing there is one upgrade, 'Upgrade to a full launch', at $5: it becomes a paid launch and can choose its week. A paid launch chooses its week at no extra cost.

Upgrade anytime

Start free, then upgrade to paid from /account/listings whenever you're ready. Try it free first, or ship straight to paid—makers choose their pace here.

Questions people ask

Can I upgrade from free to paid later?
Yes. You can upgrade your free listing to a paid launch at any time from your account.
Will search engines find my free listing?
No. Free listings get a nofollow link, and a thin free page may be kept out of search results until it has enough content. Paid launch pages are open to indexing by search engines.
What add-ons come with paid?
Beyond the base launch at $5, you can go featured, add categories, or the multi-site bundle.
